Making Guide

Whether you're making one or a firing up a production line, creating wax seals is incredibly easy and a lot of fun. It's as easy as Melt, Dispense and Impress.

Find simple 3-step guides below for making Flexible wax seals with a Gun or Melting Spoon and Traditional Sealing Wax with a wick.

Wax Gun

1. Melt

Heat up your gun and insert a stick or 2 of Flexible Sealing Wax. Your gun will take 5-10 minutes to reach melting temperature.

2. Dispense

Dispense a small amount of wax directly to your envelope, item or surface by gently squeezing the trigger. Aim for about 15 mm in diameter.

3. Impress

Impress your stamp into the hot sealing wax. Once the wax is set your stamp will lift up easily.

Melting Spoon

1. Melt

Cut a small piece or pieces of Flexible Sealing Wax and place it into a clean Melting Spoon. Hold it over a Candle until it's molten and easy to pour.

2. Dispense

Dispense a small amount of wax directly to your envelope, item or surface by gently pouring the wax from the spoon. Aim for 15mm in diameter.

3. Impress

Impress your stamp into the hot sealing wax. Once the wax is set your stamp will lift off easily.

Traditional Wax

1. Melt

Trim the wick of a Traditional stick of sealing wax to about 5 mm. Light it and hold it at an upward angle to avoid getting soot in your wax.

2. Dispense

Allow a pool of wax of about 15 mm in diameter to drip onto the surface.

3. Impress

Impress your stamp into the hot sealing wax. Once the wax is set your stamp will lift off easily.
